Denka received a B-rating in the CDP Water Security 2019 scores released on February 3, 2020.

CDP (headquarters in London) is an international NGO that was established based on a partnership with world institutional investors in 2000. CDP sends out questionnaires to major companies and cities around the world, asking that they disclose information on topics including climate change, water security and forests. The results of evaluation of environmental data disclosure transparency and operational involvement were released.

Denka responded to the water security questionnaire for the first time in 2019. This time, we reported our business strategy and other aspects centered on information regarding water being used, the state of plant wastewater management, identification and response to water-related risks and opportunities, and initiatives for hydraulic power generation.

Going forward, we will continue to implement the strengthening of environmental information disclosure and strive to conduct management with an emphasis on ESG (environment, society, and governance).
